Answer:

1.  The Jolly Rodger.  First flown in 1700.

2.  Edward Teach.   In November 1718, the governor of  Virginia sent 2 armed sloops to capture Blackbeard.   He was killed and decapitated, and his head was was put on the bowsprit of one of the sloops. 

3.  A junk.  In the early 19th century. 

4.  Grog.  Rum was invented by the Spaniards in Barbados.

5.  Hardtack was made from water, flour, and salt.  Buccaneer refers to the open fire called a buccan that pirates used to cook their food on. 

6.  Port Royal.   It means dying. 

7.  Powder monkeys.  A cutlass.
